Cold, makes things look organized that much longer. Then freezing and thawing seem to throw little illusions in our path. Or it could be the waves of heat coming from the gloves clenched in your teeth distorting perspectives.
How well do we recognize order in dimensional planes? Is it like time, irrelevant in absence of context? P. Greenaway says that humans have weak skills in recognizing symmetry over time.
Ardifuir – and other funny stories
These shots I take with the goal to eventually stitch them together… there are tons over the years. I guess I need to keep sitting there sticking, I always like them, especially when the process makes the overall picture just slightly wonky. The one above’s funky look comes from the length of the exposure and a somewhat too quick panning motion, the blur belies hesitations, second thoughts… first thoughts.
